These guys are near and dear to my heart! They are funny, quirky and really all sorts of awesome! They were also my last session of a long day full of super rad families rocking out Christmas cards in 20 minute increments! My favourite thing about this session is that if you know the mom you’d know that she was probably having a panic attack on the inside, I get it the whole being photographed thing can be super stressful in your mind. You would never know Jaime’s inner turmoil though because after 5 minutes of fun her and Jonah were able to be their super crazy, totally fun selves! Secret, they even turned out being my favourite session of the day!
So even if you think having photos taken might give you a heart attack or require large amounts of alcohol DO IT ANYWAY! Serious! Don’t be a pansy! Not only does Jaime love these photos now but her and Jonah will love them for years to come!

You may notice that I have pretty lovely things to say about all of the people I photograph. You probably think I’m that person who loves everyone. I could lie and say “Yep! That’s me! I love you all! Let’s be besties” but the truth is I’m not really THAT person. Although I wish sometimes that I was. However it turns out that the people I get lucky enough to have behind my camera, usually end up feeling more like friends, sometimes even family! The Gillis family is no exception! Although we always set out to have a quick visit just to finalize this, drop of that or just figure something off it almost always turns into a long conversation about work or kids or the meaning of life! Our kids LOVE each other and I’m not going to lie little Alyssa pretty much thinks I’m the greatest human to ever live. She’s not wrong. True story I think she’s pretty friggen swell too!
