The Roques Take 3 | Calgary Modern Family Photographer

If you’ve been following this here blog for a while you may notice that the Roque’s are not at all new here.  A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting them for the 3rd time in just over a year!  Some people might think that’s a little much but they are a family that wants to remember all the awesome that they have in their lives and that’s something that I think we could all use a little bit more of.  The other benefit with having family photos done regularly is that your kids (and you) are familiar with your photographer aka meEach and every time I photograph a family I get to know them better, what images they love what they don’t care for as much and how to get the kids to be THEMSELVES rather than that awkward “Cheese Smile”  This photo session is a prime example of capturing the true essence of a family.

The Roque’s are the most fun you can have with a family of four.  Both Mom and Dad are chef’s Carla is a Red Seal Pastry Chef and Ryan is some sort of fancy chef at some sort of fancy hotel.  The met in Banff while both working at a fancy hotel together. Let me just say they cook a mean Turkey!  Their kids have spunk, confidence and just the right amount of attitude!
