The Chin’s | Calgary Family Photographer

Alana, Lonnie, and Felix are a family full of a lot of love.  They are actually straight up awesome! You can tell Felix is a product of that awesome. Look at him with his little dimples, and his cheeky smile! Along with his handsome looks he’s also a sweet, fantastic, huggable little boy.  I like him a lot!  You will too!

A kid I like… {Personal} | Calgary Photographer

I’ve got this friend Alison, I love her a lot.  She’s kinda a big deal. She’s definitely in my top 5.  One of the reasons I love her is because she has these awesome kids (5 of them actually) who are like all amazing and stuff.  Because her oldest kids are in their teens I always find myself marvelling at their radness.  Brooke and Wyatt are 16 and 15 I believe.  Super close together just like Epic and Danger.  Brooke being older just like Danger.  They are super close and did I mention how awesome they are?  I so hope that my Danger and Epic are as fun, caring, free with as much personality as these kids!

Especially Brooke!

Just like her mom brooke has some mad photo skills.  At only 16 she’s won awards in NYC.  Today Brooke posted her newest masterpiece for her photography classes assignment “twisted”,  I’m not ashamed to admit that I was jealous I didn’t take it.

It’s weird and quirky totally out of the box and all together awesome!  Let me just say that folks should watch out for this kid because if she wants to she can do some pretty big things.  I’m sure of it!

Here are some more images taken by Miss Brooke

Snow . Crafts . Cookies | The Epic Danger Days {personal}

Back again with some more images of my WAY FANTASTIC, SUPER AWESOME, CRAZY CUTE offspring.  Over the last week or two we have rocked out some crafts, a way fun letter to Santa in which Danger asked for a “cute little baby Rapunzel doll”  and some cars for her brother.  Along with crafts this year I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and attempting to bake with the kids, as they love to bake and I love to eat the baking.  So Foofa cookies and pink sprinkles all the way! For the record, I’m not so much a sculptor. Yo Gabba Gabba should really get on selling some cookie cutters! For REALZ!

So that’s our week.

PS.  Did I mention that Danger is TERRIFIED of firefighters? No? Well she is.  It’s irrational and ridiculous but it’s our reality so we do stuff to show her how awesome being a firefighter is in hopes of stopping the nightmares!

PPS all these pics were edited with the new VSCO Film presets.  I’m digging the B&W’s

Foofa +Brobee | The Epic Danger Days {Personal}

Over and over again I talk about making more time to capture and then share my own kids here on this little blog.  It’s kind of funny really, my business is called EpicDanger Photography after the little munchkins because they are what inspired me to improve my photography day after day yet they are constantly put last when it comes to actually taking photographs.  They say the plumber is the one with a leaky pipe or whatever, but leaky pipe no more!

The new goal is to rock out “The Epic Danger Days” every week from no until eternity… well maybe that’s a little much but hopefully every Saturday until whenever I’m going to throw down a personal post on this here bloggity!

This week we start with our Halloween awesomeness.  I think Halloween might be my favourite holiday (I’m kinda Grinchy to be honest with you) so I was pumped when Danger really GOT Halloween this year.  She asked to wear her costume everyday for weeks before the big day.  She practiced her “Trick or Treating” on the pantry door and she tried to force her little brother into his costume every chance she got.

Her one Halloween Kryptonite took the form of pumpkin guts.  ’Cause well “it’s a little bit scary”.  Apparently she doesn’t like slimy stuff.  Who can blame her!?  But with enough peer pressure and bribery we got her for only a moment to touch the innards with her hands!  She still talks about it.

Here’s a look at our carving fiasco(that took place at 5:30am for the record) her walk to her first school costume party and a great night of trick or treating with friends.

If you happen to be wondering why Epic is not in any of the Trick or Treating images the answer is simply that he thinks “Trick or Treating” means “going into strangers houses and checking out their toys” when his ideas and reality didn’t quite line up he went home with Dad to yell in his room.

The night did end wonderfully though as both kids loved serving their “customers” at the front door.  Turns out the fact that Epic has 3 words and one of them is “BYE!!!” turned out all right!

I love that I can see Coco being carried away by Chris and howling.
Great post. I love that you’re going to take more photos of those two ADORABLE munchkins.
